In addition to the linky, I'm taking this opportunity each week to write a little bit about my favorite moments from the past week. I hope you'll feel inspired to leave a comment telling me about your favorite thing(s) that happened this week, too!
These are a few of my favorite things:
We had a very full week again this week!
Daniel is in the process of transitioning to a new preschool which is just a few blocks away from our house. I was grateful this Wednesday when I was able to sit outside the classroom and read a book for the majority of Daniel's time in class! He seems to be adapting to the new routines of the classroom, and his teacher has been really open to learning new strategies to be able to help regulate Daniel and make the classroom environment more predictable for him. I'll be back there with him again this morning, and I'm feeling hopeful that this positive trend will continue!
Yesterday was Halloween, and for the first time, Daniel got dressed up and (sort of) went trick-or-treating! We went to the Halloween event at Jaymz's work (photographs to come soon!), and Daniel got to walk around in a warm, well-lit, non-scary environment (and encounter a few people he already knew) while he picked up treats. I think it was the perfect non-threatening way to introduce Halloween festivities to Daniel!
Aside from being Halloween, yesterday was also Daniel's last day at his other preschool. We have so loved being a part of the community there, and his teachers and friends there have become a part of our family. It definitely feels bittersweet to depart from this supportive, loving environment, but I can't help but focus on how blessed I feel that we have these wonderful people in our lives now. I know we'll all stay in touch and will continue to see each other regularly (albeit, not quite as frequently) as we move forward from here.
Today starts National Blog Post Month (NaBloPoMo) and I plan to participate! This means I'll be publishing content here daily for the entire month of November. I'm feeling a little nervous about the demand of taking on such a project, but more than that I'm excited about spending more time writing—it's something I truly love to do!
