I was feeling a bit behind today, but then I started thinking about all the things I do on a daily basis that take up time and energy. They may not be things that would make it on our "To-Do" list, but as the day goes on, they certainly add up! So today I'm sharing ten things I did before 10 o'clock this morning, as a sort of mindfulness (noticing) exercise.
Prepared (and consumed) a large mug of cinnamon coffee. Felt a little bad about the cinnamon because though I'm craving it intensely, I learned the other day that what I'm using is not "real" cinnamon and as such, has the potential to cause liver damage.
"real" Ceylon cinnamon to my Amazon cart for later.
Organized an epic grocery list with accompanying coupons.
Helped get everyone out the door and to two different grocery stores in rapid succession. Tag-teamed with Jaymz to increase efficiency.
Remembered the reusable grocery bags! Forgot the item we were planning to exchange; gave myself a pass.
Spent $2 on $12 worth of bulk breakfast sausage. It's hard to beat a $10 off coupon!
Realized I can no longer squeeze past the side of the grocery cart in the checkout lane; tried once anyway.
Picked out $5 worth of random hardware and other fun bits from the ReBuilding Center (pictured above). Felt excited about working on a project together with Daniel. (Can you guess what we're going to make?)
Kissed a bumped wrist and two bruised knees. Suggested running on hardwood floors barefoot or wearing shoes instead of just socks.
Felt a wave of fatigue; wondered how long until nap time; looked at the clock. It's only 10AM?!
