Wordless Wednesday: First Egg Hunt

On Easter Sunday, Jaymz and I set up a small egg hunt for Daniel while he was napping. It was the first time he's has done anything like that, and we all thought it was a lot of fun! I'm glad we only had a dozen plastic eggs though, because the whole experience was pretty overwhelming for Daniel, and we spent the rest of the evening trying to come down from the excitement of the activity.

I love this photo Jaymz took.
I imagine it's what Daniel's world feels like
when he's doing something new.

We finally mowed our lawn yesterday after letting it get pretty jungle-y.
I think the overgrowth really added to the hunting experience!

I got a real kick out of taking photos of Daniel not seeing the eggs.
(It's the little things, you know.)

If you still haven't had enough of the egg hunting action [Hi, Mom!] here's a video:

How did you and yours celebrate the coming of Spring? I'd love to hear all about it!

  2. I love these so much! Daniel looks like he loved his egg hunt :) We ended doing an impromptu one for Annabelle - after her nap, too, and she loved it! She kept asking to do an egg hunt for days afterward.

    1. He really did love it! It felt like a (rare) glimpse of "normal" for Jaymz and me, too, which felt really good.
