Gorgeous photos! I love the socks on the hands. Was that his idea on his own? I figure whatEVER works, to soothe / calm anyone and everyone - no matter the age.
ReplyDeleteI've actually been talking about putting socks on Spencer's hands. He is scratching his face, despite short nails. The NICU ladies said mits don't stay put, but socks do!
Also, what do you have on his soother? I hadn't planned to use one, but they started at the hospital and I just kept with it (even buying a couple spares). They can sure get lost easy, right? We just lost the original one yesterday.
Thanks, Jorje! He did come up with that socks on hands thing on his own. Often, actually, he wants to wear them on his hands and NOT on his feet. I agree: whatever makes him happy!
DeleteI made a whole bunch of soothie pacifier clips after the ones I bought died horrible deaths (being run over by cars, in separate Papa incidents). I initially bought some on Amazon called "booginhead." I still have a bunch of the clips and also some left over ribbon. I could make you a couple, if you want? Send me an email if you're interested! =)
Yep - boxes are so worth having around! When my husband saw a stack of egg boxes sitting outside the grocery store, he grabbed them ALL. Now we have a lifetime supply of cars, forts, robot bodies... whatever!
ReplyDeleteYour kid pictures are adorable, but my favorites are the snow footprints and the raindrops on leaves!
ReplyDeleteThat shot of the leaves is incredible! The only thing it's missing is Daniel.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I was taking a walk (read: a break from Daniel) when I took that photo. =)
DeleteHi Amy, I've noticed Daniel's necklace in a lot of pictures - is that something he wears for fun, or is it for the sensory deprivation?
ReplyDeleteThanks for asking, Amanda! The necklace is a Baltic amber teething necklace from Inspired by Finn. http://www.anktangle.com/2010/12/giveaway-inspired-by-finn-amber-jewelry.html It's a natural remedy for teething pain, and I put it on Daniel when he's cutting a new tooth.
DeleteThat is very, very cool!
DeleteGreat pictures. Boxes (along with sticks) really are the best toys.
