Wordless Wednesday: A (Delicious) First

I decided what to do with some of the plums I mentioned last week (something I'd never done before):

Mid-washing

 Jaymz was very helpful:
We make a good team in the kitchen. <3


Blanched and ready to peel

Peeled, pitted, and cubed

Plus sugar and pectin

Yum!
We made two full batches, and still have enough plums left over for at least one (but probably two) more. I think I'll try something different with some of the rest of them, though...we'll see!

    I love canning but I've only done vegetables so far.

  3. @tree peters: Making the jam was labor intensive, but I wouldn't say it was difficult. I enjoyed it very much!
