Wordless Wednesday: Meals On-the-Go

Welcome to The Breastfeeding Cafe Carnival!

This post was written as part of The Breastfeeding Cafe's Carnival. For more info on the Breastfeeding Cafe, go to For more info on the Carnival or if you want to participate, contact Claire at clindstrom2 {at} gmail {dot} com.

Today's post is babywearing photos! Please read the other blogs in today's carnival listed below and check back for more posts July 18th through the 31st!

Daniel used to love to nurse in our homemade stretchy wrap...
...or nap on my back while I made dinner.

Breastfeeding in the mei tai is so easy and convenient! ...Add a sun hat
and even the people you're walking with won't know you're nursing.
(True story: that happened right before this photo was taken.)
The ring sling is perfect for cuddling a sick baby all day.
And momma's milk is right there when he needs it!

  1. What a wonderful collection! I have to get better at nursing while babywearing — thanks for the inspiration of different ways to try. :)

  2. I walked around and nursed my 8 wk-old at the Memphis Zoo in our one had any idea, including the people we were there with! They were totally surprised when I mentioned that he was done eating and needed to be burped. :)

  3. I LOVE my stretchy wraps. Do you use your stretchy wrap for back carries? Did you have someone help you put him on your back? He looks so small in that pic! I didn't trust myself with back carries with my wraps till my little one was a toddler and could hold on to my shoulders...

  4. Great collection! Thanks for sharing!

  5. Nursing while wearing baby, sure. But nursing while wearing baby and WALKING? You're amazing! Great pics!

  6. Thanks, everyone!

@The Happy Hippy Housewife: I used my stretchy wrap for back carries some when Daniel was younger...and yes, I did have help putting him in there when he was so tiny. I prefer the woven wrap or mei tai for back carries now though, since the stretchy wrap...stretches. =)

Thanks for your comment! I love hearing from you.
