Wordless Wednesday: We have a climber!

These are both from yesterday:
This is scary for your parents, D.
Glad you're enjoying yourself!

(Not pictured:) He can also climb onto the ottoman via a full laundry basket...not that I ever have one of those.

  1. Better the stairs and the ottoman than, say, the bookcases!

  2. @Rachael: Oh my goodness, I hadn't thought of that! Thank you for the perspective.

  3. Look at him go! I'm happy we only have two stairs in our house. My little guy could climb up and go down them all day long.

    And, totally agree with Rachael!

  4. Oh boy! My little guy can't do that yet, but it's right around the corner! It's a whole new world!

  5. By way of an update: I went upstairs to use the bathroom this afternoon, and came out (quickly thereafter) to find him half-way up the stairs. I encouraged him to climb the rest of the way up, thinking that going down to pick him up might make him lose his balance and fall. So now, he has climbed the whole flight of stairs! It might be time for another baby gate. =/

  8. Oh MAN. Get ready for some fun times ahead. I never realized what a chore it is having a climber in the house. Bennett hasn't attempted stairs yet (cuz he hasn't actually been near the stairs) but he has begun trying to climb onto flower pots, coffee tables, garbage cans... I feel like all I ever do now is watch him get himself into pickles on standby in case he needs me.

D looks so proud of himself going up those stairs. I can't believe he climbed the whole staircase! That is amazing.

  9. Hee hee, he looks so pleased! We have stairs this time around, too, so we'll have to see how adventurous this next one is. :)
